The FALL About YOU Challenge
Hi ladies,
We are back at it again! This time we are doing a 6 week accountability challenge to help our mamas-to-be and mamas get their workouts in and feel good! This length of time was selected by our Mama Community, we always try to be in tune with your suggestions.
We know how beneficial the pregnancy and postpartum guides CAN be, but this does hinge on the fact that you DO them consistently. Prioritizing your own health can be HARD. But we firmly believe in the power of doing so and that SELF care for mama is anything but selfish. The better you feel about yourself, the better you are able to show up in this world…especially for those that mean the most.

The Rules:
Start date: You have to start the challenge the week of September 21st. Put the start date of your challenge along with your name at the top of your accountability sheet (linked below).
End date: 6 weeks after the start date takes us to the week of October 26th. All entries will be due no later than November 1st. The winners will be announced on our Instagram story, and they will be emailed or direct messaged.
Challenge Sheet: Make sure you have the accountability challenge sheet printed or saved on your computer or phone. Over the next 6 weeks you will need to keep track of your workouts and put the date that you completed each one in the box. You will keep track of your 3 Expecting and Empowered Workouts, 1 cardio workout, and 1 self care activity each week.
As always, this works on the honor system (because we cannot be there to check, although we wish we could give each of you a squeeze and encouragement).
Self Care Box: This is a reminder to take time for YOURSELF to recharge and take care of yourself. This is something aside from your workouts. We’d suggest the care takes at least 15 minutes. Anything from meditation, to heading to the coffee shop with a book by yourself, to a pedicure, to a prenatal massage, whatever refreshes YOU! You can change it up each week or have a go to that you keep going back to.
Cardio Box: Whatever type of cardio you enjoy best, its totally up to you.
Prompt Sheet: In addition to the tracker sheet, there will be a prompt sheet to complete. Do NOT skip these questions. As women, most of us are busy...but, this is important. We have to dig into WHY you want to do this challenge and how you’re going to make it work. Prompts will need to be done for week 1, 3, and 6 and turned in.
Social Shares: At the beginning and end of the challenge, you have to share that you are participating with your friends, families, followers on social media. This will 1) help you ladies find each other 2) help us to get the Expecting and Empowered word out. This can be on either Facebook or Instagram and you have to tag our business and use the hashtags #eandeaccountability #eandemama #fallaboutyouchallenge. We cannot wait to see your posts and cheer you on. The devil is in the details ladies, so to be clear you need to post 2 photos during the challenge to be entered: one at the beginning and one at the end. These photos have to be ones that remain in your feed, it doesn’t count to have them in Instagram stories (although we’d love to be mentioned there too) or posted just inside the Mama Community. If you have a situation in which you are not comfortable sharing on social, you can email expectingandempowered@gmail.com and just let us know. You can 100% still participate.
Entry: Email us the completed sheet (scan or take a picture and email) to expectingandempowered@gmail.com. Along with the completed sheet, you have to send proof of your social posts. This means screenshots or links. This really helps us to keep track of all the posts. To be entered to win the prizes, you have to send the challenge sheet and two social shares by November 1st.
Prizes: We will be randomly picking three winners at the end of this challenge. Each winner will receive a $150 gift card of their choice (ex. Lululemon, Visa, Bao Bei, Target, etc.)
We’ll do smaller prizes throughout the challenge. We’ll give you a heads up inside the mama community and on Instagram.
To Review:
Complete the two sheets (tracker and prompt sheet), complete your two social shares with proper tags and hashtags AND attach all of that to your email entry by November 1st. Email expectingandempowered@gmail.com. Winner will be announced the week afterward on our Instagram. We will be randomly selecting from the finishers 3 winners who will each win $150 gift card.
